Ok, the deed is done ... we launched OpenSolaris 2008.05 in Tokyo on Friday. It was a successful event. Simon Phipps was our special guest and gave the opening talk, we had two community speakers, and the Sun Japan team created, presented, and managed the entire event. We also invited members of the BSD and Linux communities in Tokyo, and when those guys came we started discussions about doing joint events in the future.
