I noticed RBAC completely broke on my system and traced it down to /etc/security/exec_attr which only had a single line entry for the D-Bus management profile. Everything else was gone:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Desktop$ pkg search /etc/security/prof_attr INDEX ACTION VALUE PACKAGE path file etc/security/prof_attr pkg:/[EMAIL PROTECTED] path file etc/security/prof_attr pkg:/[EMAIL PROTECTED] The long version: I installed 2008.05 and ran pkg image-upadate to snv_91. I then installed the JDS build 92 packages from the internal server http://ipsbj.prc:9000 (I didn't set it as the preferred authority, I just added it). Following that I decided to install openoffice which seemed to have the side effect of downgrading versions of SUNWdbus SUNWdbus-bindings, SUNWgnome-base-libs, and a few other dependent packages of openoffice to the snv_91 versions on opensolaris.org. This lead to several unresolved symbol reference in gnome apps so I reinstalled to the newer versions on ipsbj.prc:9000 which was when the trouble started. Luckily, I was able to restore exec_attr from a snapshot. Any ideas? Could the package be borked or is IPS not handling config files properly? Cheers, Niall. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ indiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/indiana-discuss
