Your computer does not have enough memory to run the live CD in GUI mode. You need a minimum of 768MB memory for that.
OpenSolaris will always attempt to boot in 64-bit mode on processors that support it. Unless you are having problems that only happen in 64-bit mode, you should leave it running in 64-bit mode - there is no reason to switch back to 32-bit. The live CD contains both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of OpenSolaris - there is no separate disk for 32-bit. If you are able to get some extra RAM and add it to your computer then you can try that. There is also the Milax distribution which is designed for use on computers with limited amounts of memory - see http://www.milax.org/ .
