I was facing the same issue.

The only way to cope with this problem consisted of  uninstalling of all
the LWS (lifewithsolaris) packages ...

First, identify the packages:

$ pfexec pkg info | grep LWS

Then uninstall all packages, with regard to their exact FMRI (ie
LWSLWSfaac ...):

$ pfexec pkg uninstall LWSfaac ...

Resolve all dependencies, step by step.

Then, refresh the index (pfexec pkg refresh --full) and go ahead.
