Thanks. I did try to do a text (console) install

Same problem was experienced in SXCE 107 (thus I
had a very high but false hope for build 109). I am
wondering how long this problem (unable to to text
mode install of SXCE in VirtualBox) has been around.
Has anyone ever had any success in doing console
mode install of SXCE in VirtualBox? Thanks again.
My Console install of b109 is proceeding nicely at
this very moment;
without any keyboard lockups.
I did also get the same Xorg error as you. When I
received it, I hit
CTRL-C to interrupt the proceedings, received a root> _______________________________________________

entering "suninstall".

Very interesting. Looks like the "only" way I can do the console install of
SXCE in VirtualBox is to:
(1) select the default graphic install,
(2) wait for it to fail, then
(3) do the control-c as you indicated to interrupt the regular proceeding and
(4) continue with the "suninstall" command.
Never could have figured this way. Thanks a whole bunch!
No worries! Good luck (mine failed at 91% thru laptop gripes :-( Trying
again now). Still can't fathom your keyboard troubles...
