Hi,
This message comes from the failure of checking the special key to
judge Gconf setting is appropriate or not. Sometimes it doesn't work
when schema files is not installed correctly. There is a workaround for
you,
gconftool-2 --install-schema-file=/etc/gconf/schemas/ekiga.schemas
logout/in
Anyway this check has been moved from Ekiga 3.0.1 now. It means this
msg won't come out again in the latest build.

Is there a solution other than trying to understand how gconf works? i
just want to use ekiga with EVO (evo.caltech.edu).
I have another machine with os2008.11, and ekiga works on it.
