Same problem here on a Ultra24, Nvidia Quadro FX 370.
The login screen is centered between both monitors and maximizing
any window spans both monitors.
I start the dual monitor operation on my laptop with the external
monitor by
setting the location with xrandr.
The panels are now going across both monitors.
Because of using a different resolution with Build 110, on Build 111 I
didn't see the
open windows on the bottom panel, because it was not visible on the
smaller LCD
screen of the laptop.
So I changed the resolution on both screens to be the same.
Also maximizing a window spans across both monitors.
What does "xdpyinfo -ext XINERAMA" report when you enable
the external monitor with xrandr?
