I just did a fresh 0906 install and followed these instructions:
pfexec pkg set-publisher -O http://pkg.opensolaris.org/dev opensolaris.org
pfexec pkg image-update
and to my surprise, it told me there was nothing to update. Is that
expected?
Yes. The final release of 2009.06 won't be available until next week.
I know that; I just assumed that the development repo had received some
updates since the beta CD was released. Am I misunderstanding how the
system works?
Normally, that would be how it works.
However, for this final release, neither the development nor release
repository has been updated yet.
Both repositories should be updated next week.
