i) it seems ipkg fails to remove some entries from /etc/security/device_policy,
in particular the net_rawaccess ones.
Yes, that is bug
9568 driver (xxx) upgrade (removal of policy ...) failed: minor
node spec required.
These warnings can be ignored.
ii) reboot complains about a missing grub entry/option (can't remember the full
message since typing this message from b117 would be impossible) ? (seems that
since the fast reboot is the default, it doesn't know what to reboot to)

Again, you can ignore these messages.
iii) If "AccelMethod" "XAA" is specified, Xorg crashes, and with "EXA" there
are obvious redraw problems (e.g. in Opera scrolling sometimes doesn't redraw some areas of the screen, and
you have to click two times on a tab to get the content redrawn)
I believe that's a new issue - we would appreciate if you could file a
bug here on http://defect.opensolaris.org
iv) pkg verify complains about the home path of the user 'gdm', so it seems ipkg hasn't changed
this from "/" to "/var/lib/gdm"
Likewise with this one.
