Hello Kazuhiro I tried it on a win xp sp3 box and I also checked it on my laptop(winxp sp2). It is the same: the boot.ini is read-only.
Yes, it is a much faster way to run OpenSolaris Live. Would it be possible to make a setup.exe (which could do this grub and other installation things) next to any opensolaris.iso file to do the same instead of downloading a specially built zip file for every build or release of OpenSolaris? So if I already got e.g. the latest iso then I don't need to download similar sized zip containing the same OS version. Just running the setup.exe on the iso to use your way the recent version of OpenSolaris Live. :] What about that?
