I have Opera running on SXCE 121 no problem. I've always had problems with the package version. Use the "static" and "tarred" version.

I would expect the tarball and the package to contain the same bits, but perhaps not. I will have to compare them later. I got slightly further with the tarball, but it still dumps core.
