Hi,

You are running a new version of installgrub on an older build of solaris.
If /tmp/mnt7502 is not a temporary mount point then do the following

mv /tmp/mnt7502/sbin/installgrub /tmp/mnt7502/installgrub.orig
cp /sbin/installgrub /tmp/mnt7502/installgrub.

If tmp/mnt7502 has already been unmounted, figure out where the new BE is and mount it and do the above.

Then try rerunnning whatever command you were running.

Once you boot into 121,

mv /sbin/installgrub.orig /sbin/installgrub.

Hi
I was trying to upgrade my workstation to b121 from b111 and ran into this
weird and cryptic error message

Creating GRUB menu in /tmp/mnt7502
Installing grub on /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s0
ld.so.1: installgrub: fatal: libfdisk.so.1: open failed: No such file or
directory
ld.so.1: installgrub: fatal: relocation error: file
/tmp/mnt7502/sbin/installgrub: symbol libfdisk_init: referenced symbol not found
/tmp/mnt7502/boot/solaris/bin/update_grub: line 151: 7649: Killed

I didn't notice this issue captured within b121 release notes. Any suggestions
on how to proceed further on this ?

thanks
sriram
