Finally have snv122 running on SPARC, albeit without graphics at this point. The install was done entirely from pkg from snv103 to snv111b and hence to snv122. For some (unsurprising) reason, it defaults to PDT8PST. Changed /etc/TIMEZONE to use EST8EST and now `date` returns EDT. But it is always 3 hours in the past. `rdate` to any reputable time source will always reset the date back to 3 hours in the past. There must be some other variable that needs to be set/configured, but no amount of Googling has revealed it.
This is undoubtedly a simple thing to fix, but this is the first time for someone who has been using Solaris since Solaris 1 that setting the time has been a problem so I hope the solution isn't too too obvious :-) Thanks-- Frank _______________________________________________ indiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/indiana-discuss
