Engineering: Positions: Faculty members and Lab Instructors at
School of Engineering, King Faisal University (KFU). KFU was founded in
1975 and is located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia with its
campus in Al-Ahsa. The campus is fairly close to two other modern
cities Al-Khobar, and Dhahran. The climate during most of the academic
year is quite pleasant with temperatures ranging from briskly cool to
comfortably warm, but both Al-Ahsa and Al-Khobar has to deal with
extreme heat during June to September. To counter this problem, the
University has fully central air conditioned buildings. The School of
Engineering at King Faisal University (Al-Hassa) is the newest college
in KFU and is expected to accept first year students by the beginning
of the academic year of 2009-2010. Qualifications: we seek faculty
excited by the prospect of growth in the teaching and research programs
of the institution. Qualified faculty is sought at the levels of
Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Lecturer for
the academic year 2009-2010 (which starts in September 2009).
University instructions are delivered in English. The successful
applicants will have earned a Ph.D. in the discipline (Master's Degree
for the position of Lab Instructor) from an accredited university and
will meet the qualifications for the rank, capacity to teach at native
competence in English, refereed publications or evidence of scholarly
promise, and a commitment to a student-centered approach to teaching.
The principal responsibilities of faculty are undergraduate instruction
and active research. We invite applicants in all field of Engineering
