In English this is known as Ivy Gourd, Coccinia grandis, because the leaves are 
shaped like Ivy leaves. But it is from Gourd family. In Kolkata it is commonly 
seen growing wild. I have even heard some people eat the green fruits as 
vegetables. Refer to www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivy_gourd. An image of it can 
also be seen which will clear doubts. Hope this is of help.

I think this is Kundru ( Hindi ) from Cucurbit fam.  Are fruits about 7 cm 
long, conical ended like Parwals ( Pointed  Gourd) and green when raw, turning 
bright red when ripe ?
