On the maharashtra gov. FD website, there is little description of state flower, which I am pasting here.
Lagerstroemiaspeciosa Jarul Ornamental. The State flower of Maharashtra.The leaves are purgative and diuretic. Thebark is considered stimulant and febrifuge anda decoction or infusion is given in abdominalpain and diarrhoea. The roots are consideredastringent, stimulant and febrifuge and seedsare narcotic.
