Dear ALL, Sorry for starting such a great contravarsies, but through these discussions we know a lot. i personally find very less time to go on net and find the link, but some of the names click and i feel like writting them off to the group just to give the clue. when we go to the visits in forests one of the gentleman, who is a very knowledgeble person, had told this name hence i belived it to be true and wrote to the group. i did a miastake of name in the beggining but then wrote the name paiyar. again a spelling mistake might be. but in the link and expaination sent just now marathi name is PAYAR. So this must be the same tree. as said in the previous mail by someone, payar has wavy leaves with which we can differentiate it from peepal.similarly it is found in rocky areas. we can see many of them near gawalipada, interior trecks towards tanasa through yeoor hills i am sorry once again for wrong id madhuri
