You may follow the IUCN conservation status categories which can be
found on the following link.
But Please do not assign any status abruptly. Our Red Data Book of
India is never recognized by IUCN for similar reasons.
The one which has a proper conservation status should be used,
otherwise it should go to DATA DEFICIENT category.
