informs
there are several varieties of Chaulai which belong to several *Amaranthus*
 species.

There is one *Amaranthus*, *A. polygamus*, which was known as CHAULAL in
"An English Index to The Plants of India".

The Plant List lists three, maybe more, *A. polygamus* -

   1. http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl/record/kew-2633036
   2. http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl/record/kew-2633037
   3. http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl/record/kew-2633038

Can you please specifically identify the species in this thread?

Regards,

surajit
