It is often considered as Portulaca grandiflora 'Yubi'. Some consider it to be a hybrid between P. oleracea (with which leaves resemble) and P. grandiflora (with which flowers resemble), and as such the hybrid is some times simply designated as Portulaca 'Yubi'
