Yes, *Melia azedarach* L.is also known as GHORA-NEEM in Bengali.
But, sometimes i think that actually it could be GORA-NEEM in older days.
GORA in the sense of either Bigger or More (bitter tasted), as we have
PATI-LEBU (NEBU) and GORA-LEBU (*Citrus aurantifolia* and *C. medica*).
