Thank you all for the appreciations. Balkar ji, it was part of FRLHT's nation-wide explorations for documentation of medicinal and Red Listed plants. Dr. Goraya, I.F.S. (also a member of eFI), lead this survey in August 2007. I don't remember the exact location but it was near Shimla, a pine + Quercus forest.
