Sir, The posted pictures are of *Colocasia esculenta* (L.) Schott var.* 
aquatilis* Hassk. Pl. Jav. Rar. 150 (1848) distributed in tropical  Asia 
 as very common wild plant in moist localities. Characterised by stolons, 
sterile appendix shorter and inflorescence scented.
