Hi,
 Now called Stereospermum personatum [S.colias]. It differs from S.chelonoides
by having leaves that are often serrulate and dull-purple flowers, whereas in
the latter the flowers are yellow tinged with reddish purple.
                   With regards,
                     Neil Soares.

Subject: [efloraofindia:194482] Shilonda, SGNP, Jul 2014 :: Requesting ID of
this plant :: 21JUL14 :: ARK-21

Hello friends

Requesting to please ID this tree captured on the Shilonda trail, SGNP, Mumbai
in July 2014.

I was told this is Stereospermum angustifolium? How does one differentiate it
from Stereospermum chelonoides?

Thanks and Regards
Alka Khare
