Good morning Didi Another of my colleagues claims he has seen *Alocasia* with purplish or darker petiole. Unless I myself see and photograph those I am not sure. All *Alocasia* I have seen, be it young or old plant, bears shiny/polished leaves, except the one in this thread where leaves are rather like *Colocasia*. But, it is not *Colocasia* as leaves are not peltate.
So, I need to investigate more! ..... Waiting for brighter days and some respite from duties!
