Nice pictures Swagat *Kydia calycina* is an interesting plant from malvaceae family. It is a small tree. The fresh flowers are mostly white in colour. As the flowers mature the persistent calyx and epicalyx becomes prominent and green and it appears like a green flower.The leaves are typically lobed as in your picture. During my first sighting of these flowers in Mulshi area in Jan I also was confused on looking at these.I think the common Marathi name is *Warang*. You only can validate it with your vast knowledge of Marathi names. I have seen another lone tree in Mari aai ghat near KhedShivapur Pune. Satish
