Usha mam, its not easy to understand if they depend on rain or on summer 
heat.
During summer plants tend to loose their energy and when it reaches towards 
the exhaustion just before that the plant put all strength to flower. Or, 
The plant almost dries up and when it gets monsoon showers then it 
rejuvinates by producing the flowers. In both cases, rain actually help in 
providing energy for the fruiting because all plants invest a lot of energy 
in producing fruits. This is my hypothesis. To understand this, one has to 
understand the extact time of flower initiation and not the time of 
flowering.
