I found this in a dark understorey on a slope. I could not reach close enough
to the fern for a closer look at the scales but could stretch my arm to touch
it. It had the feel of a thick dry leaf and had no spores underneath. I am not
sure if we can tell the species from looking at the frond only but it could be
Cyrtomium nervosum. Please advise.

Thanks.
