This does seem to fit what was Mimulus nepalensis but now the accepted name is
Mimulus tenellus Bungesubsp. nepalensis.
'Flowers of Himalaya' describe it and have a line drawing - you would struggle
to match the very small imagewith the photos taken in Nepal. They say forests
and damp places @ 1200-3000m from Central Nepal toSW China and beyond. Calyx
inflated in fruit.
'Flora of Kathmandu Valley' says prostrate or creeping in wet places to 2250m.
May I put in a request for more photos of fruits of plants for all species - I
realise these often do not attractattention unless they are especially
colourful or showy. Sometimes they are essential to confirmand ID and as one
is not always able to catch a plant in perfect flower, then the capsules and
pods canbe most informative and often support/help confirm an identification or
help eliminate possibilities.
Though I realise most people find it hard enough to recognise plants when in
flower let alone the fruiting stage!
