My initial thoughts were the same. Some kind of a poplar. But but but, in Pune? Do they survive the harsh summers of the near-tropical region? The trees in question are already 10 to 12 years old, with a height of over 15 meters. Also there are no catkins or (visible) flowers. I am baffled. Please help.
