Thanks, Mahadeswara ji.
Basic question is whether this species is cultivated in India or not.
>From the data from ILDIS & other net sources, I feel a few observations
here & there might have been wrongly reported.
It is not reported in India (except for a reference of 1914) as per ILDIS
<http://www.legumes-online.net/ildis/aweb/td001/td_00135.htm> in contrast
to references of *Calliandra haematocephala*

Garg ji,
Same doubt for me as well. It is very difficult to pinpoint the sps Id
from photographs. Nevertheless, please check the following links for
comparison.

Calliandra haematocephala x surinamensis Nana -
http://toptropicals.com/catalog/uid/CALLIANDRA_nana.htm

. Calliandra surinamensis - http://toptropicals.com/
catalog/uid/CALLIANDRA_SURINAMENSIS.htm .

You can view photographs of many other species of *Calliandra too in this
website . Please compare and decide.*
