I have taken an initial look at this Clematis but cannot, as things stand, with 
any ofthe species listed from Nepal in the Enumeration Vol II from 1979.  Shall 
examine thingsfurther in due course incl. checking with any additional Clematis 
recognised from Nepalsince then.
Yes, the flowers look similar to a low-altitude species of Clematis recorded 
for Nepal (and in India)but quite apart from the elevation this was 
photographed being MUCH higher than the knownaltitudinal range for this 
species, the foliage does not bear any resemblance.
