Dear All , This Plant is indeed *Memecylon umbellatum* Burm.f commonly known as Ironwood or Anjani from the family Melastomataceae. Cup-shaped hypanthium and fruits drupe, globular, apex with hypanthium forming a ring all can be seen in the photos provided by Dinesh Ji.
