Dear all

a few days back, someone told me about a plant named *Garud ghas/ gangesi/
gingodi*, whose *roots *are used if there is a *bone fracture*. its roots
(supposedly light yellow coloured) are powdered and given orally twice or
thrice daily. its known to hasten the bone formation.

Can anyone please guide me about the name of this plant. its NOT *Cissus
quadrangularis* as told by him.

according to me it can be *Cryptolepis buchananii * but i am not sure.
Cryptolepis is used against bone fracture but its whole plant &/or roots
are used as topical ointment and not ingested.

the report is from *Madhya Pradesh.*

Alok
