I am clarifying again. Chakrabarty & Gangopadhyay in J. Econ. Taxon. Bot. 24(1): 44. 2000 combined *Antidesma roxburghii *Wall. ex Tul. under *Antidesma velutinosum *Blume. This treatment has been widely accepted and everywhere (in all the lists) there is mention that the former is a synonym of the latter. However, latest studies showed that while the fruits of *Antidesma velutinosum *are compressed, those of *Antidesma roxburghii *are ovoid to ellipsoid and inflated (not compressed) apart from some other differences. Hence *Antidesma roxburghii *is being reinstated to species rank (Chakrabarty & Balakrishnan, 2018 - unpublished, in press).
Thanking you. On Mon, Aug 13, 2018 at 12:32 PM J.M.
