Dear Gargji... As usual I admire your enthusiasm and continued efforts on accumulating the database of flora and fungi of India... Wish you loads of luck for that... But at the same time I'd like to add a word of caution as other members before me too have done that there needs to be a guideline for posting photos of fungi... I cannot fathom that though we have a very comprehensive guideline for photographing flora... and I fondly remember all the senior members chiding me in the beginning for not presenting the data properly and it really helped me to notice the required characteristics and learn better... Like wise for Fungi you need to set certain guidelines for photography without which all these identifications hold no value on the basis of unfocused photographs ... or worse only the photo of the caps...... Please refer to some of the example links I've posted and as other members have also pointed out, set some rules for Fungi photographs... http://www.svims.ca/council/Photog.htm http://www.gallowaywildfoods.com/help-identifying-wildfood/?fbclid=IwAR 0QhtD_hMFHnMmEImd7vbhHclQIPshD0cD3bnxZFz4WLBFnB1yv3KfewQ0 warm regards Alok On Thu, 2019-03-28 at 12:12 +0530, J.M.
