I was of the opinion that that the purple variety( Krishna thulasi = karumthulasi) and the green variety( Rama thulsi ) are both O.tenuiflorum and that O.tenuiflorum and O.sanctum are synonyms . Thank you all for enlightening me. with regards E.P.Tensingh
