ID is correct. Common in Puduchery & Tamil Nadu. According to Wikipedia it is rechristened as *Libidibia coriaria. * But I do not know the correctness of the name . This is one of the tanniferous plants called Divi-DivI. Beautiful rather high quality leather are produced using the fruit extract. Kannada name : Alde kaayi, divi-divi . Divi Divi in Tamil.
