Yes Professor Singh ji, it is a very good vegitable. According to Wiki: Brussels sprouts, as with broccoli and other brassicas, contains sulforaphane, a chemical believed to have potent anti-cancer properties. Although boiling reduces the level of the anti-cancer compounds, steaming, microwaving, and stir frying does not result in significant loss.[10]Brussels sprouts and other brassicas are also a source of indole-3-carbinol, a chemical which boosts DNA repair in cells and appears to block the growth of cancer cells.[11][12] And boiling results in significant loss of anti-cancer compounds.
When I came new to europe I thought this was mini cabbage. I cooked it and because the oder was very strong, did not like it. Only after my husband taught me how to prepare the vegetable I started eating it. And now it is my favorite vegetable in winter. You just fry it a bit in butter and put some nutmeg. It is fantastik.
