yes common worldwide... even if garden are well tended and
"OVERSTAFFED" ....

about 30 and then again 20 or 25 years ago found it in well tended
garden edge with rocks as mulch ... in waiting area of Pirates of
Carribean Ride and then again in similar rock chips mulched flower
bed of Swiss family Robinson Ride... remember it well since I took the
pictures..many people started taking pics, and then next day (we were
obsessed with the rides and had Seven day passes/tickets) they were
gone and park rangers standing around told us "the plots were de-
weeded last nite... "

even in snow bound NY I find in well tended plots of parking lots of
fivestar designer apparel stores... go figure?
how do these seeds find their way to such places is guess work at
best... I guessed it must come in with the mulch...

In India I find it in road sides, temple grounds, rubbish heaps with
stones rocks that are not cleared away for years... do not know how
seeds got there, bird poop?

Any other ideas??? Anybody?/
