Thanks for your message. Bandar is Bendra in Chhattisgarhi. Bandar Lathi is mentioned by Dr.Jain in papers related to surveys in Central India.
Last month I was in National Seminar where a researcher from Tamil Nadu used this name as local name of Cassia fistula. I objected because Monkey is not known as Bandar in Tamil. Later when he showed the full paper I found my botanical.com article was quoted in that. There are thousands of local names of herbs exist in rural and forest areas but instead of documenting it we are repeating the names already mentioned by early workers.
