*Cucurbita maxima* Duchesne

Annual climber with sparsely prickly stems, orbicular or reniform less 
lobed leaves, flowers large with spreading or drooping lobes and spongy 
pedicel neither ridged nor enlarged at tip. Numerous cultivars are
