The seeds of this fruits are devoured by Parrots very much and I was told
by the locals (TN) that the germination rate of these fruits are very
minimal (owing to seeds eaten by birds). So a vernacular name for this tree
is 'Thappichan maram', which translates in to 'tree grew out of escaped
seeds'
