Dear friends
With all responses in favour of immediate VoF Week and none against, we
will go ahead with extended VoF Week from August 20 to September 2, 2012.
The Week was extended on suggestion of Garg ji to give wider window to the
participants, as most members have reportedly photographed plus 200 plants
from the trip, it may not have been possible to cover all plants within one
week. This will also give time to members to process their photographs
conveniently.
I request Dr. Balkar Singh and Mr. Rajesh Sachdev to kindly accept the
request of coordinating this episode. Dr. Balkar Singh ji may give a short
introduction on Sunday, both coordinate the activities during the
fortnight, and Mr. Sachdev give a concluding summary on the last day. You
may exchange your roles if you like according to your convenience.
All uploads of your VoF trip should have a subject line "VoF
Week:.....................(plant name or unique ID code
(ddmmyy+initials+upload number for the day) from ................(Place)"
Since the area covers wide range of altitudes, members are requested to
kindly not forget the place name (altitude would be further useful).
To allow members liberty of uploading all their photographs for ID,
there is no limit on number of such uploads each day during these special
episodes. I only request members to spread out their uploads for ID over
the fortnight (week in other episodes), so that experts can cope up with
identification of these.
Special request to Garg ji, Pankaj ji and other members who have
photographs from previous trips to showcase their photographs during the
episode to fully expose the beauty of Valley of Flowers Flora.
