Dear Dr Balakrishnan and ALL:

Do you by any chance know if records are kept about introduction year,
person who did it, area where it was first planted for some purpose?
Is there a database someplace or a compilation of such information? I
imagine the specimen introduced by the folks at east india company perhaps
has records and their customs paper would have info... but I was
wondering if horticultural community as a whole in India may have the
information????

Thank you
Usha di
