Sir, This plant, even the family is new to me. But i very much want to find a similar looking herb, very nice looking, a white ball on a stick!
This one looks similar - http://www.digitalnaturalhistory.com/flora_eriocaulaceae_index.htm to me and wiki claims it is reported from the southern part of India and Western Ghats <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eriocaulaceae>. But google search gives many similar looking plants of various species of the same genus.
