This is all a false linguistic advice to Govt.of.India by un-experts. take so called Dravidian R, kaTka, where is the T, katka, how do you represent t? (tick/sTick) same with all else. the advisers are half baked linguists and the Govt.of.India is being taken for a ride on a racial path. That is what is happening.
It need to be done in a scientific and professional lines, not on a racial line. Tamil alphabet represent PoA, Indic represents random sounds. The translit need to be done with accurate analysis and the systems can not be unified, as the philosophy behind the two are extremely different. (Rivas/sRivas, rivas, srivas, are they going to discard the uglycode sri with goodcode sRi?, etc..) --- On Tue, 30/11/10, "ம. ஸ்ரீ ராமதாஸ்" <[email protected]> wrote: From: "ம. ஸ்ரீ ராமதாஸ்" <[email protected]> Subject: [indic] Re: Telugu vs Kannada confusables To: [email protected] Date: Tuesday, 30 November, 2010, 20:16 On 12/01/2010 12:53 AM, N.
