Frankly, as a user, I do not care what is "right" or "wrong", but what is "convenient". It is a real pain to find that past 4 ot 5 key strokes have been undone, when all I want to do is to delete the vowel sign keyed in at the end of the real long cluster in Malayalam. But, what is convenient for me, may not be convenient for others. What we require is a consensual document, laying down what is desirable / expected from applications. -- Mahesh T.
