I do get your sarcasm.
As a sarkari babu who has to use the present version of UDI, (your
election ID card), for ascertaining your uniqueness, UID was the first
thing that came to mind.
I was thinking of UID becasue I find that at least one person has come
before me with more than one election card. I could not lay my paws on
his other election card, else he would have been behind bars by
now. (oh well, we are going OT now).

When they position it as the "one gadget we will ever need, they also
better include a paralles port, PS/2 port, USB, GPRS/ CDMA CD/DVD Blu
ray drive, and of course, a flash for the camera, along with a torch
for using on unlight roads.
And I forgot a printer. (the camera will do the scanning).
ROTFLMAO!!!!

A larger screen can, at least occassionally, be a bug than a feature.
More OT:- I have seen a private agency doing a survey on behalf of the
GoI using BlackBerry. They would photograph the person, take
down notes of his details, and upload the info as a batch in
the evenings, The photo later would be used on some smart
card, I am told. A single "surveyor" would cover up to 50
people in a single day.
