Dear Sankarshan,
It is stock Ubuntu release with the default locale is set to Kannada.
As, mentioned in my previous post, it has been taken up and done by various
localization enthusiasts, both at organization level (like sampada) and
individuals as well.
FSMK is promoting computing in local language, and this version of Ubuntu in
Kn would definitely attract lot of users. This initiative by FSMK is to
encourage users in kannada, and more fundamentally make them aware that a
solution is avaialble in Kannada.
We are releasing this Ubuntu along with the contributors as a run up
activity to the conference.
